Key information

Comfort on Your Adventure
Day 1 · Arrival and Welcome in the Velebit Foothills

Arrive in a quiet village nestled beneath the Velebit range. Check in to your charming guesthouse and settle into the serene pace of rural life. In the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner with your host, along with an outline of the journey ahead.

Day 2 · Legendary Trails and Hidden Peaks

After breakfast, set off to explore a high section of the iconic Premužić Trail. Ascend to the highest summit of Rožanski kukovi, where the views stretch endlessly in every direction. After the hike, pause for refreshments at a mountain hut perched with perfect views. Once back in the valley, visit a brown bear sanctuary, where rescued brown bears live in a protected environment. Learn about their stories and the sanctuary’s role in conservation. Return to your accommodation for a relaxed evening and dinner.

Day 3 · Botanical Paths and Sky-High Vistas

Today’s route takes you to the highest peak of Northern Velebit, Mali Rajinac (1699m), offering open views of the surrounding area. Walk through the Velebit Botanical Garden and then ascend to the mountain’s ridge, for one of the region’s most breathtaking panoramas: sea, islands, and karst all in a single view. Stop at the mountain hut for refreshments after the hike. Return to your guesthouse for a final dinner of the tour.

Day 4 · Canyon Trails in Paklenica National Park

After breakfast, transfer to the southern Velebit and step into the dramatic world of Paklenica National Park. Follow a forested trail into the heart of Velika Paklenica canyon, flanked by towering limestone cliffs. Stop at a traditional mountain hut for a lunch break, then return the same route. The journey wraps up at the park entrance, where you say farewell to the mountains and where we end our tour.
