This is a challenge. We agree that nature is there to be enjoyed and admired, but sometimes, it’s the challenge that prevails! We conquer some of the most amazing Croatian summits starting from the sea level, and we don’t stop to smell the roses or take selfies. The goal is to push your limits, keep your pace up, and forge ahead relentlessly.
The Biokovo Nature Park rises above the Makarska Riviera, with its highest peak, Sveti Jure, standing tall at 1,762 meters above sea level. It offers amazing panoramic views of the surroundings, stretching all the way to the islands of Brač and Hvar, and even to the mountains of Bosnia and Herzegovina on a clear day. Going from sea level to 1,762 meters in altitude means crossing diverse terrain, from forest trails and single tracks to steep rocky sections to reach the highest point at Sveti Jure. To celebrate a successful challenge, after the tour, we can all gather for a group dinner in a local restaurant.
At the summit, marvel at sweeping views where the deep blue sea meets rugged mountains.
Experience steep ascents and rocky trails that highlight Croatia’s natural beauty.
Every tour is led by certified expert guides who help you discover unforgettable experiences in hidden places that most never see.
With small group sizes, you’ll receive personalized attention throughout your journey.
Inspired by the rare alpine flower, this challenging route is for those who seek the extraordinary.
Rugged and rewarding, it’s the path less traveled that leads to breathtaking summits.
This route is a true test for the most fit hikers only. Beginning at sea level in Makarska and
climbing up to Sveti Jure (1,762 m), you’ll tackle over 1,700 m of relentless ascent across
roughly 25–30 km of trail. Technically the path is straightforward but the combination of long,
steep uphills and the sheer distance will push your endurance to its absolute limit.
Expect sustained climbs through Mediterranean scrub, rocky karst slopes and alpine meadows
before reaching the panoramic summit. Proper training, ample water, and unwavering
determination are non-negotiable for anyone taking on this epic challenge.
