The hike leads you to the charming viewpoint at the mountain hut (that is unfortunately closed), with an optional ascent to Veliki Risnjak, the park’s highest peak at 1,528 meters.

For those with a decent fitness level, this hike delivers scenic views with just the right
amount of challenge. Most of the route takes place on a comfortable hiking path &
single tracks, and is not technically demanding. The final section, from the mountain hut to the Veliki Risnjak peak, is optional. This section is steep, includes hiking on rocky terrain with cable ropes and requires the use of hands (no equipment required).
