Moderate | Rue

Like the resilient Balkan herb, Rue represents balance. Expect a mix of effort and reward, with steady climbs and immersive experiences that energize the body and soul.

For those with a decent fitness level, this hike delivers scenic views with just the right amount of challenge. Most of the route takes place on a comfortable hiking path & single tracks, and is not technically demanding. The final section, from the mountain hut to the Veliki Risnjak peak, is optional. This section is steep, includes hiking on rocky terrain with cable ropes and requires the use of hands (no equipment required).
